Autotrader has set up a program that allows you to obtain a guaranteed figure on your trade-in before you bring it in.Your vehicle in many cases will be worth MORE to us than the AutoTrader Trade-in Marketplace (TiM) value.We offer the Trade-in Market Place from Autotrader as a tool to help you gain a rough idea of your trade-ins value before you arrive at the dealership.However, there is much more to a complete trade appraisal than strictly electronic data and in many cases we may offer you more for your vehicle than Autotrader.
Three tips to help you gain a more accurate TiM Appraisal:
1.Enter your VIN:
Entering your VIN will make it easier to compare your vehicle to others in the market.
2.Complete the Condition Report:
Although it takes an extra few minutes, completing the condition information will give you a more accurate appraisal. No used car is perfect and we understand that, however TiM being an electronic system can only appraise the information you input.If inaccurate information is entered in the TiM System an inaccurate appraisal will be the result.
3.Give us a chance to purchase your vehicle:
Consider the Autotrader TiM value to be the minimum, not the last word.We look forward to the opportunity to appraise your car no matter the Autotrader value.If you take the time to complete the contact information section in TiM you will lock in a price from Autotrader as well as send us your vehicles information.If you have completed the TiM appraisal accurately in many cases we may be able to offer you more for your vehicle.
The Next Step:
After you have submitted a complete Autotrader TiM Appraisal we will contact you within an hour (during normal business hours) to schedule an appointment for you to bring your vehicle in for a full Appraisal at the dealership.As we mentioned above, there is a lot more to a vehicle appraisal than just electronic data.
When you bring your vehicle in we will:

Physically inspect the vehicle

Make notes of any extras and upgrades the vehicle may have
